Join us Thursday, October 10, 6–8 pm for the opening reception of ANIMALIA, a solo exhibition
featuring Alex Beard. Animalia is a celebration of animals that have been seen and loved by Alex. From the bayous of South Louisiana to the jungles of India, the African Bush, and beyond. Oil on canvas and ink on paper originals. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Watering Hole Foundation to help endangered species and the wildernesses in which they live.
Exhibition runs October 10th–November  7th.

Studio Hours with Alex Beard

Alex will be keeping studio hours Wednesday, October 9th and Thursday, October 10th. Stop in anytime between 10 am – 2 pm either day and you will have a chance to interact with Alex as he creates an original piece that will be featured at the opening of ANIMALIA Thursday evening.

Artist’s Lecture with Bethanne Kinsella Cople

Bethanne Kinsella Cople is a featured artist in our upcoming exhibition TERRAIN, opening the evening of September 5th.

The basic foundation of any painting is a strong composition. In this lecture/demo Bethanne Kinsella Cople will discuss and demonstrate the fundamentals of good design by exploring the elements of composition. She will be speaking personally, on what she looks for in a scene, and how she wishes to convey the essence of the moment. Special emphasis on paint handling and techniques will be discussed. Bethanne will also be taking your questions throughout the demonstration.

Form, Figure, Gesture

Form, Figure, Gesture brings together four artists, Bonnie Goldberg, Lisa Moore, Gail Ragains, and Daniela Schweitzer, in a group exhibition to explore individual interpretations of the human figure. Finding inspiration from their Southern roots, the exhibition will include all new paintings ranging in style, color, and composition. From mixed-media collage to layered abstracts, the show presents a versatile body of work created by women of the South!
