I had been looking for a photography artist since we started renovations for the gallery this past fall.  I had pretty much given up hope of finding one until just days before we opened when I stumbled across Dean West’s work.

After seeing his collaboration with lego artist, Nathan Sawaya for the series In Pieces I knew I had some questions to ask Dean.  We chatted on the phone for a bit and decided Dean would be a great fit for the gallery.  I fell in love with his beach series, Under The Sun featuring Australian beaches Bondi, Noosa, and Flynn.

Long but short week!  Just finished installing our local artists show for the month of July with the help of Paul Hastings, whose work will also be featured in the gallery.  Along with Adrian Chu Redman, Allison Chambers, Amy Sullivan, Fonda Doerre, Libby Smart, Marlise Newman, and Patti Ratcliffe.

Please join us Wednesday, July 16th to meet our local artists and for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres from 6-9pm.
