Troy Dugas was born in Rayne, Louisiana in 1970 and received a BFA from the University of Southwestern Louisiana in 1994. He moved to New York shortly after graduating, earned a masters degree from Pratt Institute, and lived and worked there until returning to Louisiana in 2002. Troy experienced a tremendous amount of growth as an artist living in New York working as a successful designer in the fashion and television industries for many years. For the last 15 years Troy has dedicated himself to the development of his art achieving awards from the Pollack-Krasner Foundation and the Louisiana Division of the Arts. His work has been collected by many private and public collections across the country including the Frederick Weisman Foundation in California, The Ogden Museum in New Orleans, and the West Collection in Pennsylvania.
