Anne will attend her second international art fair at
the upcoming Red Dot Art Fair in Miami in December. In addition to her own work, Anne will exhibit paintings from California plein aire painter Ken Auster, nationally recognized Charlotte artistAndy Braitman and works from British sculptor Paul Day, whom she met on a recent trip to France.
“It is an honor and a privilege to represent such an important artist,” Anne said. Day is famous for his 30 ft tall sculpture in London’s St. Pancras Station, “The Meeting Place”, as was commissioned by the Royal Family in 2009 for “The Queen Mother Memorial” in London. Anne expects to exhibit 2-3 small sculptures by Day, including a study of “The Meeting Place.”

About The Harvest Center:
The mission of The Harvest Center of Charlotte is to create an environment where Jesus Christ transforms members of our community to their full potential by providing food, clothing, housing, education, counseling and recovery services. Over 1000 clients per week are attracted to The Harvest Center through our engagement services – hot meals and clothing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and boxed groceries distributed through our food pantry on Thursdays and Fridays. Over time, relationships are developed and clients are given the opportunity to participate in the Transformation Program which provides temporary housing, counseling, job skills training, and literacy and GED preparation. Dozens of guests have benefited from these services and the relationships built in our family of faith continue to transform the lives of guests, volunteers, and staff.
The Harvest Center of Charlotte is a non-profit organization that depends on charitable donations from foundations, churches, individuals and many dedicated volunteers to serve low-income families, the homeless and area youth. They do not seek nor receive any United Way or Federal funding.

About Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care:
When the Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care team walks through each patient’s front door, the goal is to provide that “home care” environment of compassion and comfort for patients wherever they reside – in their family home, a long-term care facility, at the hospital or on the Harris Hospice Unit at Presbyterian Hospital. With a shift from curative to comfort care, Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care provides physical, emotional and spiritual care for patients at end of life and emotional and spiritual support for their families.
Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care provides hope, comfort and care to more than 5,000 families each year. Your support of Strokes of Compassion will help fund Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care’s planned expansion of the Harris Hospice Unit, a short-stay transitional unit – a home away from home – located at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
We invite you to Open a Door to Renewed Hope for the many families facing the end of life journey with a loved one.
