PAINTING WITH A PURPOSE

May 12, 14

One of the major reasons I took a job with Anne is because of her constant charitable spirit.  I loved the idea of partnering with a different nonprofit each month and giving a certain percentage of the gallery sales back to local and national organizations.

For the month of May a portion of our sales will benefit a nonprofit that started a few years ago by James Harrison, With Open Eyes.  With Open Eyes partners with local ministries to identify, train, and equip messengers of the Gospel to reach remote areas that can’t be reached on foot.  Currently there are 218 mobile messengers with a goal of 1,000.  Please check out this video to learn more about With Open Eyesand what you can do to help!

BEFORE AND AFTER

May 6, 14

Patience is a virtue.  God does not make you patient but He does give you opportunities to be patient.  All good things take time.  The dream of opening a gallery began two years ago.  After searching the city for a unique retail space, I decided to construct the perfect spot right under my nose.  Literally, the gallery occupies roughly 2,000 square feet of space right under my working studio.  It is adjacent to an incredible local design firm Darnell and Company and right across from my long time framers, Campania Fine Moulding.  With a little work and an incredible gallery director, Elise Bainbridge, who I hired in the Fall and who had the patience working with the city for permits we finally have opened our doors.
